ABOUT CORE & CULTURE
More Than a Workout. A New Standard.
Core & Culture is redefining fitness by bringing together Power Pilates, Functional Strength Training, and Hip-Hop Culture into one elevated experience.
Instead of choosing between strength training, Pilates, or a fitness community that feels like home, we created a place where it all exists under one roof. Our signature method combines the precision and control of Power Pilates with the intensity and athleticism of Functional Strength Training, delivering a workout that builds lean muscle, improves mobility, and develops real-world strength.
But what truly sets us apart is the culture.
Inspired by the energy, creativity, and community rooted in Hip-Hop culture, every workout is powered by curated Trap, Hip-Hop, and R&B playlists that transform fitness into an experience. From the music and atmosphere to the people in the room, Core & Culture is designed to make you feel empowered, connected, and inspired long after the workout ends.
Core & Culture isn't just another fitness concept—it's a one-stop destination where Power Pilates, Functional Strength Training, Hip-Hop culture, and community come together to create an experience unlike anything else.
MEET THE FOUNDERS
Courtney and Nicole met at Howard University — first as driven, competitive young women building their futures. Nicole was a Division I tennis player, grounded in discipline, early mornings, and performance standards. Courtney, equally ambitious, was carving her own path with that same commitment to excellence.
Beyond academics, they were storytellers — journalists chasing the same dream. Their college years were fueled by ambition, creativity, and a deep belief that they were building something bigger than themselves.
After graduation, their journeys expanded.
Nicole stepped fully into sports media, becoming a respected reporter and host, covering elite athletes and high-performance environments. Courtney built her career as a respected reporter and color commentator before discovering a deeper calling in Pilates — not just as a workout, but as a transformative practice that reshaped her approach to strength and ultimately led her to build culture and community within Solidcore.
At the same time, Nicole rediscovered fitness in a new way — no longer training for matches, but training for longevity, balance, and overall performance in life.
What they both realized was this:
Traditional fitness spaces often lack culture.
And community spaces often lack structure and results.
They had experienced both worlds — elite performance and powerful storytelling. Discipline and identity. Strength and sisterhood.
